June Meeting 6-11-08 The meeting was held at Boston’s outdoor seating with 20 members present. Leah called the meeting to order. Linda gave the treasurer’s report with a balance of $1360.66. The July 26^th Car Show was the major discussion. Anyone can ask for door prizes from everywhere. Our car show is on the MCA website but not the magazine. Tom is going to send out flyers to previous members. McKie will sponsor the trophies and jacket. Discussion was held about the sponsor’s choice and what should be done if someone has previously won. Suggestions were: option 1 - let McKie pick; option 2 – have no members of the club eligible; option 3 – have McKie pick a first and second place and if 1^st chooses not to receive the honor, it goes to the 2^nd choice. Jean and Tom made the motion, option 3 passed. Committees for the Car Show: Registration - *John Boland, Linda Nixon, and Leah Lutheran Parking - *Jim Good, Kevin Oakland, and Scott Nixon Judges - *Joe Harris, Dick Peter, and Dale Lutheran. Car Show is July 26^th at Wilson Park!!! See you there! ANNOUNCEMENT

Car Shows throughout the State: Spearfish July 12^th at Integrity Ford Counts 40 year run will be July 11-13, it is on the website. Bostons car show is June 21^st. Kingsbury (Lake Preston) 18^th Annual Car Show on July 20, 2008, noon to 3:30pm. Madison 15^th Annual Car Show on August 10, 2008 from 11-4. Wheels & Wings Weekend in Downtown Aberdeen SD on August 23, 2008. Hours 5-9pm.

June meeting con’t The sign for the Car Show will be put up the week of the Show at Wilson Park. Also discussed was a possible sign at the intersection of St Joe & West Blvd. Car Show flyers – please make copies on your own or have a print shop make them. Jean will make some copies so they will be available. Good Guys Car Show in Loveland CO was reported as awesome and had about 3,000 cars. T-shirts were discussed and was decided to purchase them. There will be an order of 36 shirts at $20 & $22 each. Scott made the motion to order shirts and Dale seconded. Approved. Joe brought up due to the mustang logo being used that we need to have it approved by Ford. There was an editorial in the Mustang Times stating if any or all of the logo is used for communication or merchandise it needed to be approved and used for club membership. Note: our logo has been accepted by Ford. The Spring Run in May was Awesone! All had a lot of fun and good eats. Think about a summer cruise and picnic – when & where? Meeting adjourned. NEXT MEETING IS JULY 9^TH at the Round Up in Black Hawk. Go Sturgis Rd to Black Hawk and it is located on the service road and Pine Street. The building is white with yellow trim and has flags outside. It is about 2 blocks from BJ’s. Menu Choice is: Cheeseburger or hamburger with French fries or Chimichanga See you there at 6:30pm!
